It is wrong to inflect suffering or death on animals for reasons of pleasure,
amusement or convience.
BurgerKing as a company should not be approved as they encourage the killing of calves at 19.5 months
(A) when the poor female could live till 35 years.
(B) BurgerKing state Aberdeen Angus beef as their pride and joy, they should be out cast.
Proof from farmers knowledgeable websites
(A)http://www.britishangus.com/angus-profit.php (first paragraph) compared to standard beef
(B)http://www.thecattlesite.com/breeds/beef/7/aberdeen-angus/overview , (end of second paragraph) also read on to statistics and it gets even sadder when they state how maternal the females are , they lose their calfs at 12-14 weeks.
I cant agree when people say "Not supporting the BK Veggie would hurt far more animals than it would help. Please do not make Burger King regret its attempt to make it easier for customers to choose vegetarian foods." Burgerking is selling Veggie burgers to make a profit, not as a favour or it is not a loss leader, public opinion is getting aware that eating red meat ie beef can have cancerous effects on the human body.
One day Cancer UK will acknowledge that instead of presently saying "eat more veg and less red meat" they will say better if you dont eat red meat at all. (http://info.cancerresearchuk.org/healthyliving/dietandhealthyeating/) If Burgerking did not sell a veggie burger many families would not go into burgerking at all because one of the family wanted something Veggie.
We know burgerking and McDonalds are scarey dinosaurs but they will be extinct if they do not change their ways.
Oh dear, when you support Burger king thefries are cooked in Fish and Chicken used oil so not suitable for vegetarians (like me) so need to be removed from any reccommendation. I was quite happy with the Veggie food being there as they have their own dedicated cooking vats I read somewhere, prob Vegsoc.org ref.... website. Something to consider
Thanks Paul
