VegfestUK 2014, London's biggest veggie food festival, will play host to
more than 200 exhibitors showcasing food and vegan lifestyle products when it
takes place later this month.
Held at Kensington Olympia on 27 and 28 September, the event will
include live cooking demonstrations from London’s most passionate chefs and
notable foodies, including Pasquale Amico from Amico Bio, Vanessa Almeida from
Essential Vegan and Christine Bailey, a superfood nutritionist. Raw food
coaches and experts will also be on hand to demonstrate practical, energising
recipes to a veggie-curious audience.
Following successful stints at both Bristol and Brighton dates earlier
this year, the London show will offer a varied range of health-conscious,
culinary treats, including delicacies from street food legends Bangwok,
regional Asian dishes from The Hungry Gecko, vegan burgers from The Sunshine
Kitchen and baked goods and authentic sushi outlets.
Alongside the food offering, VegfestUK will also see around 150 stalls
dedicated to the best of vegan lifestyle, combined with entertainment, music
and comedy.
Tim Barford and Alan Lee, organisers of VergfestUK, said: "We're
very excited about the 2014 event, our line-up of chefs and stalls is one of
our strongest ever, and the current media interest in meat and dairy reduction
is fuelling advance ticket sales to the point where capacity crowds are
expected. It's a real testament to what we do; getting people excited and
interested about vegan lifestyles and healthy living."
